Welcome to Wine Press, a safe place of encouragement, insight, and revelation to help you navigate through the different seasons of your Christian walk. As Christians, we find ourselves in different seasons or phases in life, much like the process of creating wine. In order to make new wine, first the winemaker must harvest or select the right grapes--you've been chosen! The grapes then go through a de-stemming process. De-stemming is a process that separates the grapes from the clusters. After God chooses you, He separates you from the cluster of people or things that you are familiar with in order to prepare you for what's next. Next, is the crushing process! No one likes the crushing process. However, it's necessary to produce the wine. This is where the pressing and squeezing happens. Pressing and squeezing feels uncomfortable, but it serves a purpose. It's where the "wine" is produced--the anointing, the promise, the gifts, etc. are produced in you. Next is the fermentation process. This is often called the aging process. It's necessary for the wine to age and for the sugar to convert into alcohol to give the wine its flavor. This is the process where God matures us--where we're transformed--where we grow up and change from juice to wine! Then, there is the clarification process. During this process, the solids are separated and discarded, leaving only the liquid. The final pieces of residue are discarded. The wine is then transferred into another container to be bottled. In this stage of your life, God is perfecting you for the next stage. And finally, there is the bottling stage. This is where the wine is bottled and ready for consumption. However, sometimes, the winemaker will allow the wine to continue to age while bottled. Sometimes you're ready to be on display and to walk in your purpose. Other times, God will keep you just a little while longer to make you even better. You know the saying, "Wine gets better with time." No matter what stage of the process you find yourself in currently, don't despise it. It's serving a purpose in you greater than you can imagine.
